Position: Business Development Manager
Luxfer Graphic Arts (LGA) is part of the Luxfer Group (www.luxfer.com), which is traded on the NYSE under the symbol LXFR. LGA is the industry leader in magnesium flat rolled products used in specialty engineering applications and the photoengraving industry. There are two physical locations that facilitate the manufacturing process: Madison IL, and Manchester, UK. The Madison facility produces magnesium alloy slabs from its casting operation which are then processed into plates, coils, and sheets on its rolling mills. Products are finished at the Madison and Manchester facilities for specialty markets including aerospace, defense, printing and battery sheet. LGA services clients in 75 different countries around the globe.

Identifies and helps to develop strategic relationships with partners or potential customers in Titanium, Aluminum, Zirconium and other Adjacent Metals. Participates in the marketing, sales and product development teams to implement business development initiatives. Familiar with a variety of sales and marketing concepts, practices and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Pay:
Base pay of 80K - 90K depending on experience + a phone allowance, car allowance, and a yearly bonus potential.
- Identifies trendsetting ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and Web site information.
- Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
- Evaluates potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending acquisitions.
- Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals.
- Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations as part of a contract review process.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. Attending conferences and exhibitions.
- Assisting in development of sales plans and demonstration of organization’s products to customers.
- Coordinating with account manager in developing actions on accessible customer’s sites.
- Establishing and developing relationships with the customer and ensuring best grade of service.
- Developing and implementing strategies for the new product and services by analyzing business needs
- Presenting the Company at seminars, exhibitions and user group meetings.
- Execute the business plans by carrying out research, formulating market analysis and delivering accurate business reports.
- Good communication skills in both written and verbal.
- Must focus on customer and prospect perceptions of the Company.
- Provide leadership within the company in all respects.
- Develop roadmap for sales and marketing strategies.
- Following up new business opportunities.
- Planning and preparing presentations.
- Communicating new product developments to prospective clients.
- Overseeing the development of marketing literature.
- Writing visit reports.
- Providing management with feedback and market analysis.
