Background:
Luxfer Graphic Arts (LGA) is part of the Luxfer Group (www.luxfer.com), which is traded on the NYSE under the symbol LXFR. LGA is the industry leader in magnesium flat rolled products used in specialty engineering applications and the photoengraving industry. There are two physical locations that facilitate the manufacturing process: Madison IL, and Manchester, UK. The Madison facility produces magnesium alloy slabs from its casting operation which are then processed into plates, coils, and sheets on its rolling mills. Products are finished at the Madison and Manchester facilities for specialty markets including aerospace, defense, printing and battery sheet. LGA services clients in 75 different countries around the globe.

Position Purpose:
The Technical Sales Manager will provide LGA customers with knowledge and process expertise, maximizing the client’s experience with our Photo Engraving products. Main duties will consist of on/off-site trouble shooting and exceptional account management. This position will directly report to the U.S. Divisional Sales Manager.

Main Responsibilities:
The main activities of the position include but are not limited to the following:
• Provide assistance to the Quality department
• Assist with internal quality assessment
• Do routine quality control testing of products
• Chemical analysis via spectrometry
• Acid etching of metal plates for quality assessment
• Fill in QC forms daily
• Technical know-how of the application of Photo Engraving products will be provided
• Technical support for outside sales once understanding of processes and products is mastered
• The successful candidate will travel to customers from time to time to provide assistance with products

Position Requirements:
Potential candidates must have these abilities and traits:
• Knowledge of the print industry processes ( DESIRED)*
• Knowledge of the etching process and the ability to assist with problem solving
• Excellent analytical skills
• Ability to set up and run complex equipment
• Outstanding communication skills
• Excellent writing ability
• Experience with all Microsoft products
• Good team player
• Forecasting and account management skills
• Ability to travel 50%

Education and Experience:
• Knowledge of the photo engraving market
• Exposure to industrial metal processing, photo chemical machining or the packaging industry would be beneficial
• Demonstrated ability to work on multiple tasks successfully and remain organized, meeting expressed deadlines
